Two arrested for serial theft of metal parts

SINGAPORE — Two men have been arrested for their suspected involvement in a series of theft of metal parts from unattended trailer chassis, said the police on Wednesday (Oct 19).

SINGAPORE — Two men have been arrested for their suspected involvement in a series of theft of metal parts from unattended trailer chassis, said the police on Wednesday (Oct 19).

The police had received several reports of theft of metal parts from trailer chassis at Pioneer Road, Tuas, Sungei Kadut and Benoi Sector. The victims had parked their trailers overnight and returned to discover metal parts missing.

The two men, aged 25 and 36, were arrested on Wednesday at Tuas Checkpoint.

Both suspects will be charged in court on Thursday with an offence of Theft with Common Intention. If convicted, they may be jailed for up to three years and/or fined.
