Two teens arrested for stealing motorcycle for a joyride

SINGAPORE — Two teenagers, aged 17 and 18 years old, have been arrested for their suspected involvement in a motorcycle theft in Taman Jurong.

SINGAPORE — Two teenagers, aged 17 and 18 years old, have been arrested for their suspected involvement in a motorcycle theft in Taman Jurong.

On Oct 18, the owner of the motorcycle had reported to the police that someone had rode his motorcycle before returning it back to where he had parked it.

Police later conducted extensive follow-up investigations, using police cameras (POLCAMs) to establish the identities of the suspects. Both suspects were arrested at Boon Lay Way yesterday (Nov 24) at about 5pm.

The suspects will be charged in Court tomorrow and if convicted, they could face an imprisonment term of up to seven years and are also be liable to be fined.
