SINGAPORE – Warm days are expected in the first fortnight of September, said the National Environment Agency (NEA) in a press release today (Sept 1), with maximum temperatures of around 34°C.

However, the NEA also said that short-duration thundery showers are likely to occur on three to five days, mostly in the late morning and early afternoon. In addition, thundery showers with gusty winds due to the Sumatra squalls can be expected on one or two days in the morning, although the rainfall for the first two weeks of September is expected to be below normal levels.

Last month, Singapore experienced wet weather conditions on most days in the first fortnight; although the weather was mostly dry and warm in the last two weeks of August.
