Wash N Toss prepackaged salads recalled in S’pore due to salmonella contamination

This comes after the Food Standards Australia New Zealand issued a recall of selected prepackaged salads by Tripod Farmers due to the contamination with salmonella.
The Wash N Toss batch codes affected in Singapore are 29116, 48103, 85121, 27864, 29472, 13362, 11925, 51226, and 59462.
The agency has since instructed importers to recall the products from the market immediately.
Consumers who have purchased the implicated product have been advised to discard it.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the Department of Health and Human Services in Australia confirmed yesterday 54 suspected cases of salmonella in Victoria, Australia, associated with lettuce grown and packaged by Tripod Farmers.
Up to 100 people in Australia may now be affected by the salmonella outbreak, added the daily.
In Australia, those affected include selected batches of Woolworths, Wash N Toss, Coles, Supa Salad and Clear Film salads.
