Bowling wins second silver

INCHEON — Bowlers Cherie Tan, Jazreel Tan and New Hui Fen have won a silver medal in the women’s trios at the Asian Games in South Korea. This is Team Singapore’s second medal after Jazreel’s silver in the women’s singles on Sept 24.

INCHEON — Bowlers Cherie Tan, Jazreel Tan and New Hui Fen have won a silver medal in the women’s trios at the Asian Games in South Korea. This is Team Singapore’s second medal after Jazreel’s silver in the women’s singles on Sept 24.

The trio combined to score a total of 3,753 pinfalls in the second block of six games at the Anyang Hogye Gymnasium today (Sept 28) to clinch the silver. South Korea’s Lee Na-young, Jung Da-wun and Son Yun-hee claimed gold in 3,896, with their teammates Lee Yeong-seung, Jeon Eun-hee Kim Jin-sun taking bronze in 3,692.

World Cup champion Shayna Ng, Daphne Tan and Joey Yeo finished seventh in 3,639.
