Chuan-Jin visits teams that received SNOC shot in the arm
President of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) Tan Chuan-Jin, who is also Minister for Social and Family Development, trying his hand at archery during a surprise visit to the local squad’s training session at the Singapore Sports Institute. He visited five teams — squash, traditional boat race, archery, softball and judo — yesterday to meet athletes and officials who are preparing for the SEA Games. Four of the sports (except squash) were among the 14 National Sporting Associations that received extra funding from the SNOC through the Special Training Assistance Committee’s recommendation.
