SINGAPORE – National swimmer Joseph Schooling, who won the silver medal in the men’s 100m butterfly final at the Commonwealth Games, took part in two more races today (July 29).

However, he missed making it to the finals for both events. He finished 15th out of 24 competitors in the 200m Individual Medley race. His time of 2 mins 7.04 secs was not enough to make the final cut.

Schooling, together with Quah Zheng Wen, Christopher Cheong and Clement Lim also did not progress to the final of the Men’s 4x100m Medley. The quartet finished ninth out of 14 teams in the heats, with a time of 3 mins 48.01 secs.

But Singapore’s swim queen Tao Li and team-mates Samantha Yeo, Quah Ting Wen and Nur Marina Chan have secured a spot in the Women’s 4x100m Medley finals, by clocking a time of 4 mins 17.43 secs.

The women’s quartet will compete tomorrow (Wednesday 2am, Singapore time) in Glasgow. CHANNEL NEWSASIA
