SINGAPORE — The Cold Storage Kids Run will take place on May 17 this year with the focus of having three generations of the family come together to celebrate the Pioneer Generation.

To be held at The Meadow @ Gardens by the Bay from 7am to noon, it will feature the 3Gen Family Fun Run. This category of race will see kids aged four to 12 years old team up with one parent and one grandparent to walk or run a distance of 800m.

This race will be the eighth edition, with the theme of “Get Active, Get Healthy” to encourage and active lifestyle in kids from a young age.

Kids from six months to 12 years old have the chance to take part in 13 categories, consisting of competitive (sprint) and non-competitive (family run) races ranging from 800m to 1.6km.

A family carnival will also be included to allow children to explore sports, and that includes families playing in a larger than life-sized game of catching through jostling in a bubble suit.

Registration is until April 16 at www.kidsrun.com.sg. Tickets are priced at S$35 for the sprint and S$44 for the family fun which includes the 3Gen. Early bird registrations are until 9 April and tickets are priced at S$32 for sprints and S$40 for the family fun.

Participants who sign up are also entitled to receive a goodie bag, an event tee, a finishers medal, a race pack, a certificate and 15 per cent off local admission to two conservatories at Gardens by the Bay.
