SINGAPORE - Fandi Ahmad has resigned as team manager of Malaysian Super League (MSL) team Johor Darul Takzim with immediate effect.
SINGAPORE - Fandi Ahmad has resigned as team manager of Malaysian Super League (MSL) team Johor Darul Takzim with immediate effect.
The 51-year-old former Singapore skipper, who was stood down from his position as chief coach of Johor DT last month and redesignated as team manager, had tendered his resignation to the Johor Football Association (JFA) last week, but it was only accepted by the JFA’s Council yesterday.
Fandi told TODAY that he quit because he wants to continue coaching but added that it was an amicable part of ways.
In a statement yesterday, the Johor FA said it was unfortunate that they and Fandi had to go their separate ways.
