LONDON — Sunday’s Community Shield match between Premier League champions Leicester City and FA Cup winners Manchester United acts as the curtain-raiser for the new domestic season. Here are four new faces you should be keeping an eye on at Wembley:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Manchester United, striker)

The arrival of both Jose Mourinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic over the summer has sparked a frenzy among Red Devils supporters who now truly believe the title may be returning to Old Trafford.

It goes without saying that Zlatan is a world beater. He’s already picked up Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1 winners’ medals and is now looking to add a Premier League title to that collection.

The Swedish hotshot will be vying for a spot in Mourinho’s XI with Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial all capable of playing up top.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Man United, midfielder)

The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder made the move to Manchester for a reported £26 million (S$45.6 million) fee. He was a sensation in Germany, voted as the Bundesliga’s players’ player of the year last season.

Mkhitaryan should feature in one of the three positions behind the main striker and his versatility means it’s likely he’ll be a regular starter in Mourinho’s side.

Ahmed Musa (Leicester, forward)

Leicester’s club-record signing scored both of the Foxes’ goals in a 4-2 defeat by Barcelona in the International Champions Cup, the first of which was a fantastic solo effort where he showed blistering pace and a sense of calm in front of goal.

His pre-season form means he is likely to start up top with England international Jamie Vardy, dropping Japan’s Shinji Okazaki down to the bench.

The 23 year-old scored 42 times in 125 appearances for CSKA Moscow and will hope to hit the ground running by getting on the scoresheet at Wembley on Sunday.

Luis Hernandez (Leicester, defender)

Central defender Luis Hernandez arrived at Leicester on a free transfer from Sporting Gijon and is likely to be thrown straight in at the deep end with Robert Huth suspended.

Whether or not Hernandez can hold down a regular place in Claudio Ranieri’s XI remains to be seen but a decent performance on Sunday will certainly increase his chances. Can he help inspire Leicester to Community Shield victory?
