Sports tribunal maintains Platini suspension

LAUSANNE (Switzerland) — The Court of Arbitration for Sports today (Dec 11) maintained a 90-day suspension from international football against Michel Platini, a CAS official said.

LAUSANNE (Switzerland) — The Court of Arbitration for Sports today (Dec 11) maintained a 90-day suspension from international football against Michel Platini, a CAS official said.

The ruling is a new blow to the Frenchman’s hopes of entering the race to become FIFA’s president. The UEFA president had been favourite to take over from Sepp Blatter until he was named in a Swiss criminal investigation this year. AFP
