SINGAPORE - Falkirk gelding Well Done staved off a late challenge from Majestic Moments to land the Group 1 Patron’s Bowl race at the Singapore Racecourse on Sunday (June 19).

Ridden by three-time Melbourne Cup-winner jockey Glen Boss and trained by David Kok, the horse won the 1,600m turf race which was also the second leg of the Singapore Four Year Old Challenge. The final leg of the 4YO Challenge will culminate in the Group 1 Emirates Singapore Derby to be run on July 10.

Well Done scored by a neck from Majestic Moments, winning in 1min 34.9sec, with Believe Yourself (Alan Munro) flashing home late for third another three-quarter length away.

Well Done has now taken his record to six wins and five placings from 16 starts for stakes earnings that have now shot past the half-a-million mark for owner Jason Goh.

President Tony Tan Keng Yam, who was the Guest of Honour yesterday and also the Club’s Patron, presented the trophies to the racing connections.

The Singapore Turf Club (STC) also organised a charity luncheon at the Singapore Racecourse on Sunday which raised S$50,000 for the President’s Challenge 2016.

The STC Singapore Turf Club is a proprietary Club of the Tote Board and is a not-for-profit organisation. Over the last 10 years, more than S$6 billion in grants have been given out by the Tote Board to the community.
