SINGAPORE – To commemorate the 28th South-east Asian (SEA) Games, OCBC Bank today (May 20) unveiled a series of limited edition UnionPay prepaid cards.

The cards come in six designs, two featuring official Games’ mascot Nila and four featuring a sport each, namely bowling, football, swimming and table-tennis. They can be used to get discounted ticket prices for SEA Games competitions, as well as discounts at participating food and beverage (F&B) stalls at the Singapore Sports Hub during the SEA Games.

The cards featuring Nila will be sold at S$55 and S$105 each, with a stored value of S$50 and S$100 respectively. The four cards with the sports themes will be sold as a set at S$28, with each card having a stored value of S$5. The cards are non-reloadable.

The cards will be on sale at the official SEA Games merchandise store outside Ngee Ann City and City Tours Tourist Hub from Friday. From June 5, the cards can also be bought at SEA Games merchandising booths at selected competition locations, participating F&B stalls at the Singapore Sports Hub and the SEA Games hospitality desk at Swissotel The Stamford.

Mr Desmond Tan, Head of Group Lifestyle Financing at OCBC Bank, which is a sponsor of the SEA Games, said: “Spectators and participants of the Games need carry only one card. These UnionPay Prepaid Cards can be used to purchase snacks, drinks and the Games merchandise at the Singapore Sports Hub. On top of that, these cards – specially designed to reflect the symbolic features of the Games – are good keepsakes.”
