SEA Games: S’pore squash players put up valiant fight for silver

SINGAPORE — It’s a silver medal for Singapore in the men’s team squash event, as the Republic’s national squash players lost 2-0 to Malaysia in the final this afternoon (June 13) at the Kallang Squash Centre.

SINGAPORE — It’s a silver medal for Singapore in the men’s team squash event, as the Republic’s national squash players lost 2-0 to Malaysia in the final this afternoon (June 13) at the Kallang Squash Centre.

Singapore’s Samuel Kang battled it out with Malaysia’s Muhd Bahtiar in the 74-minute long match which he lost 1-3 (12-10, 8-11, 6-11, 9-11), before national teammate Vivian Rhamanan was swept aside by Malaysian Sanjay S Chal 3-0 (11-4, 11-2, 11-2) in 20 minutes.

Malaysia had earlier also took gold in the women’s team event today by beating Indonesia 2-0.
