Singapore wins Wushu bronze at Asian Games

INCHEON – Wushu exponent Tan Yan Ni has won a fourth bronze medal for Singapore at the Asian Games in South Korea.

INCHEON – Wushu exponent Tan Yan Ni has won a fourth bronze medal for Singapore at the Asian Games in South Korea.

The 17-year-old scored 9.63 points in the women’s changquan final to finish third among the 13-strong field at the Ganghwa Dolmen’s Gymnasium today (Sep 23).

China’s Kan Wencong and and Geng Xiaoling of Hong Kong clinched the gold and silver respectively in 9.75 and 9.66.

Tan’s bronze is also a fifth medal for Singapore, after Tao Li’s silver in the women’s 50m butterfly last night, and three bronze medals in the men’s 200m butterfly, men’s individual epee and sepak takraw men’s doubles.
