Sparta win women’s open title at Mission Foods Beach Netball Festival

SINGAPORE — Sparta took the top honours at the Mission Foods Beach Netball Festival today (March 1) after beating Bedok Bullets in the women’s open final at Sentosa’s Siloso Beach to claim the S$1,000 winner’s cheque.

SINGAPORE — Sparta took the top honours at the Mission Foods Beach Netball Festival today (March 1) after beating Bedok Bullets in the women’s open final at Sentosa’s Siloso Beach to claim the S$1,000 winner’s cheque.

A record 64 teams took part across five categories (women’s open, mixed open, women’s under-23, mixed social and women’s social).

Tiger Prawns claimed the mixed open, while Team Jimmy took the under-23 competition. Each won S$1,000 in prize money as well.

The Mission Foods Beach Netball Festival also included fringe activities such as a fun photo booth, Red Bull sampling and a fun shooting competition.

This is the fourth year that Mission Foods, a long-time corporate partner of Netball Singapore, have been the festival’s title sponsor.
