Tao Li wins bronze medal in 100m butterfly

INCHEON — Tao Li won a bronze medal for Singapore in the women’s 100m butterfly at the Incheon Asian Games, on the back of a silver medal bagged in the 50m butterfly yesterday.

INCHEON — Tao Li won a bronze medal for Singapore in the women’s 100m butterfly at the Incheon Asian Games, on the back of a silver medal bagged in the 50m butterfly yesterday.

Tao splashed home in 59.08secs this evening (Sept 23), to come behind China’s 16-year-old Chen Xinyi who set a new Asian Games record of 56.61secs for a gold medal win, while Lu Ying of China — silver medallist in the 100m butterfly in the 2012 London Olympics (56.87secs) — took silver in 58.45secs.
