Women’s bowling team strike gold at Asian Games

Leading in top spot after yesterday’s (Sept 29) first block of three games, the team fended off a challenge from hosts South Korea to clinch gold in 6,119 pinfalls.
South Korea had to settle for silver in 6,048, while Indonesia won bronze in 5,840.
This is the women’s bowlers first gold at the Asiad after winning two silvers in the women’s singles and women’s trios, and bronze in the women’s all events category. It is also Singapore’s second gold in Incheon after Joseph Schooling’s first gold in the men’s 100m butterfly.
Jazreel Tan also clinched a bronze in the women’s all events today, finishing 3rd out of 74 competitors with a total pinfall of 5,013.
