With a speedy autofocus performance of 0.06 seconds. Sony’s mirrorless-interchangeable-lens ILCE-6000 helps you capture any subject you want quickly. What’s more, its Fast Hybrid AF system uses 179 phase-detection AF points to offer wide autofocus area coverage.
A 24.3-megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor and BIONZ X processor help produce top-notch photos and Full-HD (1,920x1,080) videos. Built-in NFC and Wi-Fi technology allow for convenient one-touch sharing with compatible devices. Sony’s PlayMemories Camera Apps enhances device functionality, letting you use your mobile device as a remote control, or transfer photos and movies to a smartphone for viewing.
Action photos are easily handled as well, thanks to the camera’s 11-frames-per-second continuous shooting mode. Power users can take advantage of the camera’s seven customisable buttons that offer access to 43 assignable functions.

Capture great images with the interchangeable-lens camera ILCE-7M2, which has a 24.3-effective-megapixel 35mm full-frame Exmor CMOS sensor and an optical 5-axis image stabilisation system. The latter makes it easier to capture sharp handheld stills and video under conditions that may have previously required a tripod, such as if you’re capturing images at slow shutter speeds.
To help bring subjects quickly into focus, the 117-point focal plane phase-detection autofocus sensor and 25 contrast detection AF points are placed over a wide area of the screen. The phase-detection AF’s tracking capabilities work in conjunction with advanced algorithms to help keep even moving subjects in sharp focus.
The ILCE-7M2 captures video at up to Full-HD (1,920x1,080) 60p and also in XAVC-S format, which is derived from the professional XAVC format, adding to the device’s versatility.
Wi-Fi and near-field communication (NFC) connectivity makes it easy to connect to compatible mobile devices, while support for Sony’s PlayMemories Camera Apps allows the camera’s capabilities to evolve.
Usual Price: S$1,199
IT Show Price: S$899, free 16GB memory card
The compact DSC-RX100M3 has a bright, wide-angle ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-70mm F1.8-2.8 lens. Together with the 20.1-effective-megapixel back-illuminated 1.0-type Exmor R CMOS sensor and a powerful BIONZ X processor, the camera lets you take great shots in any situation.
Boasting a one-inch sensor, which is larger than most others in regular compact cameras, the DSC-RX100M3 captures sharp still images and video with background defocus effects, helping to draw attention to your subject. It also captures 50Mbps high bit-rate Full-HD movies with XAVC S support.
The camera’s LCD panel flips out to 180° so you can capture selfies or shoot at awkward angles and 4K still image output via micro HDMI allows photo viewing on 4K TVs.
Usual Price: S$599
IT Show Price: S$549; free 8GB memory card and carrying case
Travel light and shoot fantastic images with the compact DSC-HX90V that touts ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* lens with 30x optical zoom, Exmor R sensor with 18.2 effective megapixels and BIONZ X image processor. Taking Instagram-worthy selfies is a breeze, thanks to the camera’s Optical SteadyShot system with 5-axis stabilisation and 180° tilt LCD.
Photographers who want to frame their shots the traditional way can use the pop-up OLED Tru-Finder, an electronic viewfinder. Users who want more control can use the camera’s control ring, which can be assigned to functions such as manual focusing or step zoom.
A built-in flash helps with low-light shooting, while Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity enables one-touch wireless sharing of photos and movies on compatible mobile devices. The camera’s high-performance NP-BX1 battery makes it possible to capture up to 390 photos on a single charge, which can be tagged with the camera’s built-in GPS.
