SINGAPORE — If you’re currently an owner of a gold iPhone, you might want to hold on to your gadget instead of trading it in.
SINGAPORE — If you’re currently an owner of a gold iPhone, you might want to hold on to your gadget instead of trading it in.
Apple has discontinued the gold colour option for the iPhone 5S, 6 and 6 Plus in all of its online stores. Technology website The Verge reported earlier this month confirmation from Apple that it has dropped the gold option for these phones. This means only the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will have the gold finish, along with the new rose gold colour.
A check on the company’s Singapore and US website shows that only the Silver and Space Grey options are currently available for the 6, 6 Plus and 5S models.
However, there is a still a way for buyers here to get their hands on the gold version.
As of 12.30pm today (Sept 20) there is stock still available on the Singtel, Starhub and M1 online stores for some of the models.
The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will be hitting Singapore stores on Sept 25.
Along with the new iPhone models, Apple has recently also unveiled the iPad Pro, a 12.9 inch-screen table, and a revamped Apple TV.
