SINGAPORE — GameStart 2015 returns with its second edition from Nov 13 to 15 following the resounding success of last year’s inaugural event, say organisers Eliphant.

More than 12,000 game enthusiasts from Singapore and around the region attended last year’s two-day convention.

This year’s video game event will take place at Suntec Convention Centre, Halls 401 and 402, with double the floor space at almost 4,000 square metres compared to last year.

Game enthusiasts can expect to see trial stands and demo booths across all platforms (PC, console and mobile), over 60 new games – including yet-to-be-launched games – as well as meet-the-producer sessions, show matches, eSports tournaments (Capcom Pro Tour Asia, Xtr3me3’s GameStart Champion’s Cup), the returning Game On! Cosplay competition and exclusive promotions for game bundles and show merchandise.

Other highlights include the chance to experience the PlayStation VR headset – the first in Southeast Asia – and the Star Wars: Battle Pod, an experiential arcade game that features a dome-shaped screen. Gamers can also satiate their nostalgia at “Retro DNA”, a section where gamers can check out vintage game consoles, games and arcade machines, or purchase official Blizzard merchandise from Blizzcon 2015.

Partners that are returning to participate include Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong (Singapore Branch), Bandai Namco Entertainment, Blizzard Entertainment, Capcom Pro Tour Asia tournament and home-grown companies Armaggedon, IMBA Interactive, Kinetiquettes, Witching Hour Studios and Xmashed Gear.

New partners this year include the organisers of Taipei Game Show (Taipei Computer Association), Singapore Gamebox by Games Solution Centre, Warner Brothers Games, Funplus, Obutto Singapore, Saint Games and Simply Toys.

Standard priced tickets can be purchased online at GameStart Asia’s official website and from selected retail partners: Saint Games (The Cathay), GameScore (Funan outlet), and all GameXtreme outlets. More information can be found at www.gamestart.asia.
