At 12.95mm and weighing 1.27kg, the ENVY 13 is HP’s thinnest and lightest 13-inch notebook to date. This good-looking machine is crafted with an aluminium lid and keyboard deck paired with a magnesium base. The touchpad features a glass surface that provides less resistance to finger movement and shows less wear over time.

The HP ENVY 13’s new hinge sports an elevated lift that not only allows the fan to circulate air out the sides, but makes for a more comfortable typing experience.

Under the hood lies a 6th-generation Intel Core i3 — i7 processor and a solid-state drive (up to 256GB) that lets you retrieve and store volumes of files, photos and movies.

Despite the ENVY’s wafer-thin frame, it’s able to achieve up to 10 hours of battery life, thanks to a 3-cell 45Whr Li-ion polymer battery. In addition, the ENVY doesn’t stinge on ports. You get an SD card reader, a full-sized HDMI port as well as three USB 3.0 ports, one of which supports HP Sleep and Charge that lets you charge your mobile phone right from the notebook.

Power settings can be adjusted dynamically. If you’re running multiple tasks, the ENVY is able to tweak the thermal system automatically and in partnership with the hyperbaric cooling system.

Need to Skype with your loved ones overseas? Do it comfortably on the ENVY 13, which touts the HP TrueVision Webcam and dual microphones with HP Noise cancellation. It also comes with Bang & Olufsen audio.
