Chat with Nobel prize winner Professor Brian Schmidt

For a man who spends his working hours with his head in the heavens, Professor Brian Schmidt is a Nobel prize winner with his feet planted firmly on the ground, literally.
The man who helped discover that the universe is accelerating its expansion and who won the prestigious gold medal in 2011, works and lives in Australia at the National University’s Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics. He also owns a small winery where he makes pinot noir.
He was in Singapore this week to speak at the International Peace Foundation’s Bridges Dialogue on how sicence is humanity’s universal bridge. TODAY’S Matt Driskill caught up with him for a chat about wine, the stars, and how to make the world a better place.
