Reading event Let's Read Together! held at National Library atrium

A reading event was held on July 13, 2014 in response to the National Library Board's (NLB) removal of three children's titles from its shelves. Two of the books, And Tango Makes Three and Who's In My Family, were among others available at the event for people to borrow and read. About 400 people turned up for the reading event. Commenting on the removal of the books, Ms Jolene Tan, co-organiser of the event, said: "Since they are no longer available here, we thought it would be nice to have an event where we make them available to those people who would want to read them."
