Car trip just a one-time joyride for underprivileged children

One of the writers even compared it with reading books.
We should treat the activity as a one-time joyride for these underprivileged children, who were visibly thrilled. This is reward enough for the organisers, who helped make their dream come true.
Those innocent smiles that lit up their faces were wonderful and beyond words. Children, privileged or underprivileged, have hopes of doing something not within their means at least once to satisfy their curiosity.
It could be a roller-coaster ride, a boat trip or a hot-air balloon ride.
Such activities put together with good intentions by the well-off can enrich children’s lives. They can only be better off with that been-there, done-that experience.
