One cannot stop children, especially pre-teens and teenagers, from using such platforms in this age of technology. One must, however, first let children know about cyberbullying, so that they will be aware of the consequences and not abuse these platforms.

User etiquette must be taught, time spent on social media platforms must be limited and control must be exercised. Passwords and filters are needed, especially at the beginning, for parents to check and ensure that their children are on the right track.
