Climate change denier’s clean energy projections do not match reality

Mr Bjorn Lomborg, the writer of “Why wind and solar power are not solutions to climate change” (Nov 10), is a well-known climate-change sceptic who projects that wind and solar energy will not increase much across the world by 2040.

But solar power production is increasing so rapidly that it will outstrip his projections, even with modest assumptions about the increasing solar panel production capacity and decreased cost curves.

And why did he not utter a word about off-peak energy storage solutions? This sounds like more of the same, albeit from a person who says he is no longer a climate change denier. Bob Howd
