Compensate commuters for repeated disruptions

I read, in “SMRT says sorry for ‘unacceptable’ disruptions” (March 4), that the Land Transport Authority has asked SMRT for an explanation. Probably, a fine will be imposed again, but what would affected commuters get from this?

Some of us took cabs to get home because the delay was too long. How is SMRT going to compensate these commuters?

I think we have been patient and it is now time for commuters to be compensated for the repeated inconveniences.

A fare refund for disrupted trips is insubstantial.
