Consider boarding calls for just transit lounges at Changi Airport
Changi Airport Group announced that with effect from Jan 1, 2018, it will stop making final calls for boarding and airlines will stop paging for passengers who has yet to board the plane. This is to cut down the noise levels at the terminals. The frequent announcements made over the public address system are also crowding out the more critical announcements.

I am not a frequent air traveller, but I empathise with passengers in the transit lounges who have to wait long hours for their connecting flights and they may doze off due to fatigue.
Perhaps, instead of a total blanket on such announcements, the airport may wish to consider having important flight reminders strictly for passengers within the transit lounges.
