Contact authorities directly for matters that require prompt attention

It may take a few days for a letter to be published, and another few days before the proper authority takes action. On matters that require urgent attention, calling the National Environment Agency’s 1800 hotline, sending it an email or using the myENV smartphone application is faster.

Nevertheless, before we do so, let us ask ourselves if the “pond” faces direct sunlight. Is the water moving? Is it murky? The Aedes mosquito generally prefers to lay eggs in clear, stagnant water that is cool and in the shade.

So let us not send NEA staff on a wild goose chase if the “pond” is murky and directly under the sun.
