Continue to promote family, but recognise others

A nation is progressive if it upholds laws and formulates policies that will build a strong generation of children, mentally, emotionally and morally, bearing in mind a child’s basic need of a mother and father.
While we value the contribution of homosexuals in society, homosexual behaviour is not the norm and should not be actively promoted. The natural family cannot be devalued, though we recognise the existence of other family structures.
As we celebrate SG50, let us invest in Singapore’s future by promoting wholesome family values in the next generation. And let us act with love and compassion towards those who are marginalised.
