We refer to Mr Tan Kin Lian’s letter “Time for Iras to get up to speed on online services” (Nov 28).

We believe Mr Tan was referring to the e-Services Authorisation System (Easy), which allows organisations to authorise their staff or a third party to access government digital services from Iras and 10 other government agencies.

We agree with Mr Tan that it would bring even greater convenience to businesses if the account can be activated online immediately.

We are happy to share that this can now be done with the new CorpPass system, which will replace Easy as the new corporate digital identity to transact with government agencies online.

The CorpPass system is being progressively rolled out from Sept 2016 to Dec 2017, with more government digital services being added in each phase.

We thank Mr Tan for his feedback and encourage him to sign up for CorpPass early as this will be the login method for most Government digital services by the end of next year.
