Thye Hua Kwan thanks Ms Julia Ng for her concern and valuable feedback in the letter “Hougang nursing home needs more sensitive Chinese name” (April 29).
Following a review, we have adopted a more contemporary and also a more positive name for the facility, and have decided to change it to 疗养院 (liao yang yuan, or nursing home).
