Keep status quo on liquor sales

Every Sunday, there used to be rowdy drinkers and fights in Little India. Following the liquor restrictions, the situation is now under control.

Every Sunday, there used to be rowdy drinkers and fights in Little India. Following the liquor restrictions, the situation is now under control.

On the other hand, binge drinking among local youth has been on the rise. Also, more motorists are being caught for drink-driving offences.

Now, the new alcohol controls are fair to all. Sales may be down for many retailers, but it is better to enforce the liquor curfew.

I thank our men in blue for all they have done so far to make public places safer.

The Singapore Police Force should continue to study new patterns from the curfew, rather than accommodate retailers with concessions on alcohol sales.
