Lane closure on Tg Pagar Rd poses a danger to road users
The closure of one lane of the three along Tanjong Pagar Road — at the junction of Tanjong Pagar Road, Neil Road, and Maxwell Road — is causing daily traffic jams especially during peak hours, because that is a major thoroughfare.
The closure of one lane of the three along Tanjong Pagar Road — at the junction of Tanjong Pagar Road, Neil Road, and Maxwell Road — is causing daily traffic jams especially during peak hours, because that is a major thoroughfare.
The closure also is a gamble for pedestrians and motorists at this crossing, and I feel an accident is just waiting to happen.
The nearby construction of the Maxwell MRT Station is also causing a spillover effect, with taxis and tour coaches parking illegally at Sago Lane and Banda Street.
This is a concern for the older residents and pedestrians in the area.
The Land Transport Authority should look into and address these problem areas, since the building of the MRT line will last another four years.
