The last mile is vital to any good initiative

I refer to the letter “Online career platform Todo Todo too messy to use” (May 8). The “last mile” is important to any initiative. User-friendliness and feasibility in the implementation phase play a role in the success rate of user adoption.

I am an instructor currently hosting a course on online platform Udemy, with no cost incurred by me.

SkillsFuture Singapore is providing a local learning delivery platform, LearningSpace.SG, as a Proof of Concept project. But there is a cost attached, so I chose not to host a course there.

I advocate sharing knowledge with adult learners, and I applaud initiatives to encourage this or to guide teenagers in planning their education for their future careers. But a good initiative always needs a good last mile.
