To quote from The Great Learning, written by Zeng Shen: “Wishing to order well their States, they first regulated their families. Wishing to regulate their families, they first cultivated their persons.”

Many people lack knowledge about LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) issues. Parents tend to educate their children in stereotypical ways; for instance, that it is acceptable for young men to act aggressively as a sign of masculinity, whereas it is wrong for girls to do so.

Besides, if a boy talks softly or in a feminine way, and everyone starts teasing him, his pride might be hurt. If this continues until he grows up, he might question his sexuality.

The Government has always focused on education because it determines a country’s future. And various research in philosophy, ethics, history, science, anthropology and religion are important to public understanding of the LGBT group.

Some people might treat them badly and make rude remarks. This will exacerbate the situation and emotions. People should focus more on practical things such as income, housing, and security issues.
