LTA needs to justify reward to bus operators
I agree with the letter “Incentives to reward bus operators puzzling” (May 16). Maybe the Land Transport Authority should justify the need to reward the operators with the huge amount.
I agree with the letter “Incentives to reward bus operators puzzling” (May 16). Maybe the Land Transport Authority should justify the need to reward the operators with the huge amount.
They are fined for train breakdowns on the one hand but rewarded for better bus services on the other. They are listed companies being helped by the Government using taxpayers’ money. Then they report increased profits and get rewarded again.
As a layman and commuter, I cannot understand the logic of this equation.
