Neither good nor poor work attributes exclusive to S’poreans
I refer to the letter “Aviation jobs on offer should also be open to qualified foreign grads” (Feb 14). I am all for competition for jobs based on meritocracy, but some companies hire based solely on cost considerations.

Regarding the writer’s assertion that there are Singaporeans who want work but do not take ownership and thus become unproductive or leave at the slightest dissatisfaction, I can say they are not the majority.
Singaporeans are known to work long hours. These attributes do not apply only to Singaporeans either.
