Singaporeans can again look forward to Singaporean film maestro Jack Neo regaling us with another instalment of his Ah Boys To Men franchise (Ah Boys To Men cast returning for 4th instalment; March 22).
This time, he will turn his attention to the Singapore Armed Forces’ formidable but unseen and unsung heroes, the Armour warriors.
Perhaps the film could also pay homage to Armour’s rich heritage, such as the fact that the first Armour unit was called the Commando Vehicle Unit and that it started out with V200 Armoured Personnel Carriers and AMX-13 tanks.
As with director David Ayer’s Fury, I hope Neo’s film will lend clarity and do justice to the SAF’s Armour warriors, who say with pride: “Once Armour, always Armour.”
