A nurse who made a difference

I wish to thank the nurses and doctors who attended to my mother during her stay last year in Singapore General Hospital and for her post-operation appointments. She had a brain tumour and has recovered well.

Our family thanks Dr Ivan Ng and his team for the successful surgery, and in particular, we commend nurse Pei Shan of Block 3, Clinic L (Department of Neurosurgery).

My mother had a few follow-up appointments at Clinic L, where Pei Shan not only attended to her patiently but also helped her to get a medical report for her insurance claim.

My mother had waited four months for the report only to receive an incomplete one, and Pei Shan called the doctor who was responsible and the medical report office, kept my mother updated and even walked her to the office.

Pei Shan displayed a high level of professionalism, genuine compassion and attention towards my mother. We wish that she continues to make a difference to her patients’ lives.
