Offer more priority seats instead of giving the needy their own cabins

Giving needy commuters their own train cabins does not necessarily increase the number of seats available to them (“Give pregnant women, the elderly their own MRT cabins”; April 15).

Giving needy commuters their own train cabins does not necessarily increase the number of seats available to them (“Give pregnant women, the elderly their own MRT cabins”; April 15).

I advocate setting aside more priority seats and converting the no-seat cabins into one with seats. And when all available priority seats are taken, one could politely ask other able-bodied commuters to give up their seats.
