Pioneers have priority seats, not reserved seats, at Foodfare

We refer to Mr Thomas Lee’s letter “Seniors’ food corner may cause resentment during busy lunch periods” (Oct 23), regarding the Pioneers Priority Seating privilege at Foodfare outlets.

We refer to Mr Thomas Lee’s letter “Seniors’ food corner may cause resentment during busy lunch periods” (Oct 23), regarding the Pioneers Priority Seating privilege at Foodfare outlets.

The seats are set aside to help pioneers dine with ease in our food courts. It is a tangible way to show our respect for pioneers and for what they have done for the nation.

We wish to clarify that these are not reserved seats but priority seats, the usage of which is not restricted to pioneers alone.
