Place community wardens in their own estates
I applaud the police for setting up a group of community wardens to settle strife among neighbours because of noise. (“‘Community warden’ civilians to assist police with noise complaints”; March 14)
I applaud the police for setting up a group of community wardens to settle strife among neighbours because of noise. (“‘Community warden’ civilians to assist police with noise complaints”; March 14)
But will residents of the precincts and their grassroots leaders be given priority to fill these posts? They know their wards well and residents can approach them easily. Some are also trained in mediation skills.
Perhaps it is timely to explore the possibility of employing community wardens in their own estates.
