In praise of a cabbie who went door to door

I wish to commend Mr William Wong, a TransCab driver, for his honesty and kindness.

On Saturday night, my wife and daughters left a bag of groceries in his taxi. We did not expect it to be returned, as my wife did not remember which taxi company it was at the time.

But he returned the items the next day. Since he did not know our unit number, he went door to door in our 12-storey block. Imagine how many units he went to before reaching our home on the 10th storey.

He did not ask for any reward and left soon after. We were amazed. Thank you, Mr Wong, for rekindling my belief that there are such kind, honest people in Singapore.
