Protect broadband consumers better
I was one of many who signed up for a fibre broadband promotion at Comex 2014, which was held in August. I have yet to receive any information about the installation, though, a delay MyRepublic attributed to NetLink Trust.

I doubt that I alone am going through this, yet there seems to be no real solution to better protect consumers from such service lapses by NetLink Trust and the various broadband service providers.
Is the Infocomm Development Authority studying measures that will put pressure on NetLink Trust and service providers to deliver by a certain timeline or lose the contract?
Otherwise, how long should consumers expect to wait, bound to a contract for a service that is not being provided? Such delays have been happening even before OpenNet was operating under NetLink Trust.
In an efficient country such as Singapore, this problem should have been fixed already. The acquisition of OpenNet has not solved the problem, so how long must consumers wait before the IDA takes a more proactive approach?
