Public safety first, for drug busts in public

I agree with some of the feedback about public safety, although I agree on tough action being taken against drug traffickers.

The video showed the suspect’s car wedged between two cars; the three cars occupied the entire width of the road. Another car was seen going against traffic and stopping in front of the suspect’s car.

A motorcyclist arrived next, climbed onto the bonnet and smashed the side window. The CNB cars were unmarked, and the CNB personnel did not wear anything to indicate where they were from.

How would members of the public know it was a police action? In a way, it looked like a hijacking or a kidnapping.

If the suspect had tried to force his way out, he could have ploughed into the bus stop close to the incident, with unthinkable consequences. And what if the suspect had been armed?

Our city is densely populated, so perhaps the CNB and the police should work out plans of action with public safety as the first priority.
