Relax illegal parking rule in bays during off-peak hours
A vehicle that remains stationary along pick-up and drop-off bays and obstructs other vehicles could be penalised for illegal parking. Such a rule is indeed effective when it comes to bays that are congested during peak hours, especially coupled with closed-circuit television cameras.

However, I believe the Land Transport Authority (LTA) could exercise more discretion when it comes to other hours, such as at midnight. These bays are practically deserted then, and there is little obstruction to other motorists and road users.
It would not reflect well on the LTA to insist on enforcing this rule during these hours as it is rigid and it would be seen as failing to take into account the immediate circumstances. I urge the LTA to be more discerning in enforcing this rule.
