The late Mr Lee Kuan Yew is the father of modern Singapore, and his death was a big loss to the nation.

It is therefore sad for me to watch his children squabbling in public, with accusations made against one another.

Surely our former Prime Minister does not deserve this kind of highly negative publicity after his death.

We should respect his final will on his property at 38 Oxley Road. Aside from a couple of contentious issues that have to be sorted out, if Mr Lee wanted his residence demolished, then it should be done.

This airing of dirty laundry in the press and social media is distasteful and casts our country in a poor light. Let us resolve this highly charged matter quickly and amicably for the good of Mr Lee Kuan Yew, his legacy, and our country.
