Stoke fan allegiance to S-League teams

In other countries, the football leagues and people’s allegiances are based on teams representing various geographical regions. For example, Barcelona residents support Barca and Milan residents support AC Milan or Inter.

Singapore is too small to be divided into various regions large enough for the population to be devoted to any S-League team.

And if one moves house, would it mean one has to shift support to another team?

Singapore must find ways for football fans to form an allegiance to S-League teams based on something other than geographical regions.

Possibly, fans can just take their pick of any team or the teams can tie up with schools, so fans can pick a team based on their alma mater.
